LAKELAND, Fla. — The Detroit Tigers signed right-handed pitcher Chase Anderson and catcher Ryan Lavarnway to minor-league contracts.

Both players received invitations to MLB spring training.

"The organization is actively looking for guys," Tigers manager AJ Hinch said Monday. "At some point, we'll probably draw a line in the stand, that you can't make the start of the season unless you're here by a certain date. That date is not today, so I think you'll see a few names over the next couple days."
