Biddie Laverne Barrett, age 95, formerly of Houston County, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022. There will be a celebration of life service on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Beverly Dycus officiating. Burial will follow in Cane Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 15, from 1:00 pm until 7:00pm and again on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the hour of service.
Biddie entered this life on November 13, 1926 to Elbert and Dorathie McGowan. She was a member of Mckinnon Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Biddie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 29 years Hugh Barrett; her twin brother, Vernon McGowan, brothers; Enloe Mcgowan and Sunny McGowan, As well as by her dear sisters; Lexie Cherry, Kathleen Rushing, Francis Nykodem and Theresa Watkins.
Biddie leaves behind her loving son William (Delma) Taylor; She also leaves behind three precious grandchildren, Shannon (Stacey) Taylor, Kenny (Karen) Taylor, and Matt (Erin) Taylor; Sister Wanda (Jerry) Fussell.
