Thomas will be unavailable during camp while working his was back from offseason Achilles surgery, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
The exact nature and timing of Thomas' procedure and his expected return date are not yet clear. He was thought to have a chance to push for an Opening Day roster spot but now won't get the chance to debut until later in the year.
