Tufte was reassigned to AHL Texas on Saturday.
With Braden Holtby (lower body) sidelined, Tufte was demoted in order to make room for goaltender Adam Scheel on the active roster. Tufte will likely be back with the big club as soon as Holtby is ready to return.
