Marshall racked up 14 points (5-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven assists, four rebounds and three steals across 29 minutes during Friday's 142-120 loss to the Hornets.

With CJ McCollum (COVID-19 protocols) and Brandon Ingram (hamstring) both out, Marshall drew his first start of the season. The second-year pro out of Xavier made the most of his opportunity, as he scored in double figures for just the seventh time during the campaign and dished out a season-high seven assists. He also displayed his defensive instincts, registering at least three steals for a third time this season. As long as the aforementioned duo remains sidelined, Marshall should continue to garner plenty of opportunities.
