Tomorrow night on the main card of UFC Vegas 50, we are going to see a big time showdown in the featherweight division. Top rising prospect “Super” Sodiq Yusuff (11-2) returns as he takes on the veteran “Bruce Leeroy” Alex Caceres (19-12, 1 NC).

Yusuff will be looking to bounce back after he suffered his first loss in the UFC. Last year, Yusuff went head-to-head with Arnold Allen in a battle of top prospects. While Yusuff fell short in that one, there’s still plenty to be excited about.

After earning a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series, Yusuff has been very impressive. Overall, he’s 4-1 inside the octagon. He will be looking for his fifth win when he takes on the veteran Caceres.

Alex Caceres has been around the UFC for a long time. For years, he was a decent fighter, but he never could string together a long winning streak. Well, that all changed at the end of 2019.

Over the last couple of years, Caceres has won five fights in a row. He’s looking for his sixth in a row tomorrow against Yusuff which would put him in the UFC’s top fifteen at 145 pounds.

UFC Vegas 50 Prediction

Fighting Alex Caceres has become very tricky and Yusuff definitely has a challenge on his hands at UFC Vegas 50. Caceres is going to throw a lot of volume tomorrow night and he’s really good at fighting off his back foot.

That plays well against Yusuff who is normally very aggressive. Caceres also has very good submissions so if the fight touches the ground, Yusuff has plenty to worry about especially with chokes.

All that being said, I really like Sodiq Yusuff at UFC Vegas 50. I think he’s going to fight with purpose and he needs a win to re-establish the credibility of him as a threat in the UFC’s featherweight division.

I’m not expecting it to be easy, and I expect Caceres to have moments. However, I like Yusuff’s ability to land the more impactful shots and I think that will sway the judges in the end.

Prediction: Sodiq Yusuff by Decision
