Northeast Missouri man badly hurt when pickup slides off road, hits tree

NEAR LENTNER, Mo. —
A northeast Missouri man was badly hurt Thursday evening when his pickup truck slid out of control and hit a tree in Shelby County.

It happened at 7:15 p.m. on Highway 36, one-half mile west of Lentner.
State troopers say a pickup driven by Preston Hall, 21, of Shelbina, lost control on the snow-covered roadway, ran off the right side of the highway and struck a tree.
Hall suffered serious injuries.
He was taken by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s online crash report, investigators are not sure if Hall was wearing a seat belt.
