Neighbours star Takaya Honda has revealed that David Tanaka's life will change forever as a consequence of the show's River Bend episodes.
David has so far been absent from the holiday retreat, but he's thrown into the action in unexpected circumstances in Friday's episode on Channel 5.
Levi Canning, Freya Wozniak, Aaron Brennan, Glen Donnelly, Nicolette Stone, Harlow Robinson and Ned Willis have all travelled to River Bend for some rest and relaxation.
In upcoming scenes, David heads out to join them but discovers that all hell has broken loose thanks to the unwelcome arrival of mystery man Gareth Bateman.

David finds his husband Aaron unconscious and bleeding after being beaten up by Gareth. Earlier, Gareth had lashed out at Aaron for trying to protect Freya.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Takaya explained: "David's reaction to finding Aaron unconscious and bleeding on the side of the road is one of sheer terror.
"David also feels dismay at the idea that perhaps the last moments he's going to have with Aaron were ones of tension, anger and frustration. Those are not moments which represented their relationship, which should be about love and happiness.
"David finds Aaron and from that point, David's life is about to change in a really big way.
"What that is, I can't say! But questions will be raised from this point of 'who is David'? I'm excited for the audience to discover that with David and go along with that ride."

Asked if he was excited to be part of the dramatic scenes, Takaya replied: "Absolutely. Every big week on the show, you want to be part of. I didn't get to do anything for Fire Island a couple of years ago, apart from treat some people when they came back. I felt like I missed out!
"I felt like David needed to get out of Ramsay Street and into the bush. I was excited to do that, even though it's a tumultuous time for David during that week and beyond.
"The question of 'who is David?' is really going to come to the front of the audience's minds. Decisions are going to be made that can't be taken back and ultimately will define the rest of David's future."
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.
