Report: Knicks forward Cam Reddish out for season with separated shoulder
Cam Reddish has played in only 15 games with the New York Knicks since being acquired in a trade with the Atlanta Hawks in January. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the third-year forward out of Duke is now done for the season due to a shoulder injury.
Reddish — who played alongside current Knicks third-year pro RJ Barrett with the Blue Devils during the 2018-2019 college basketball season — has posted 6.1 points, 1.4 rebounds and 14.3 minutes per game across his 15 contests since the trade. In 49 games (seven starts) during the 2021-22 campaign, the 22-year-old has averaged 10.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 20.7 minutes per contest and has registered a .404/.359/.902 shooting line.
The Norristown, Pennsylvania, native is eligible for a contract extension in the offseason.
Following a 41-31 regular season a year ago and their first playoff appearance in eight years, the Knicks have been one of the more disappointing teams in the NBA this season. They are currently 28-38 and sit 12th in the Eastern Conference standings.
