Girl Talk, Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., Smoke DZA drop single from collaborative LP
A new Girl Talk album is on the horizon. Due April 8, Gregg Michael Gillis’ fifth studio album, Full Court Press, will materialize as a collaborative project between himself, Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., and Smoke DZA. According to a press release, the 10-track record has been in the works since 2017. “These guys all go back with each other over 10 years,” Girl Talk said, “so it was just a great energy in the room.” Wiz Khalifa emphasized that combining the four artists’ unique styles on one cohesive project was a “dope experience.”
Before heading out on a North American tour for the first time in eight years, Girl Talk is delivering an early-release album single. “Put You On,” featuring all three of the LP’s star collaborators, arrives an audiovisual offering animated by Jessica Langley.
