Pedestrian fatally struck by car in Everett

EVERETT, Wash. — A man is dead after he was hit and killed by a car in Everett on Thursday morning, according to the Everett Police Department.

The collision occurred just after 5 a.m. on Evergreen Way, between Center Road and 112th Street Southwest.

The driver and car remained on the scene.

The followed her into the street and was hit by the car.

Everett police told KIRO 7 a man in his 40s and a woman were arguing on the side of the road, when she walked away from him.

Detectives said there is no criminal investigation.

At the conclusion of their investigation, all lanes reopened just after 8 a.m.

On Monday, an 80-year-old man wandered onto Evergreen Way and was hit and killed.
