Adams County commissioners approved expansion plans for Brundage Mountain Resort.
Phase one of the project, called Northwoods, would bring 88 homes to the base of the mountain. This would include 21 single-family homes, 22 cottages, and 45 townhomes with ski-in-and-out access from the Lower Rodeo run. The single-family sites will allow for lot owners to build their own custom homes, while Brundage will design and build the cottages and townhomes.

The homes are a part of a larger plan called Brundage Mountain Village. In 2009, the resort’s master plan called for Brundage Mountain Village to add 1,200 homes, hotel units, and townhomes over time. BoiseDev reported here, that Brundage President Bob Looper said the resort now plans to build far less than that number.
Looper said the resort has plans to submit applications for phase two by the end of this summer. This phase will include the hotel rooms.
BoiseDev previously reported the old lodge would be torn down, and the hotel would be added.
While county commissioners were in favor of the expansion, a couple of residents voiced concerns over the need for more wildfire studies before approval.
Brundage is in the process of several other upgrades, including terrain expansion, a new lodge, and an upgraded child care facility.
Initial work started last fall to move some ground, utilities and begin parking lot upgrades.
