OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) - Three Oklahoma City Thunder players will miss the rest of the season, the team announced Tuesday.
Luguentz Dort had surgery to repair a labrum tear in his left shoulder. The operation was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache at the Kerlan Jobe Institute in Los Angeles.
Dort is expected to return to full basketball activities prior to the 2022-23 season. Dort is the team's second-leading scorer with 17.2 points per game.
Ty Jerome underwent surgery to address a sports hernia and is expected to resume full basketball activities in eight weeks. The procedure was performed by Dr. William Meyers at the Vincera Institute in Philadelphia.
Mike Muscala had an arthroscopic procedure and additional lateral ligament repair on his right ankle. The procedure was performed by Dr. Robert Anderson at the Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Green Bay. Muscala is expected to return to full basketball activities prior to next season.
Muscala was averaging eight points per game, and Jerome was chipping in just over seven points per game. Both have largely come off the bench this season.
All three players have been out since February.
The Thunder are 20-45 on the season.
