In “Semi-Pro” costume, actor Will Ferrell warms up with Klay Thompson, Steph Curry

SAN FRANCISCO — Klay Thompson got the ultimate pick-me-up after a sluggish few games.

Actor and comedian Will Ferrell warmed up on the Chase Center court with Thompson and Steph Curry prior to the Warriors’ game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday. Ferrell joined in wearing a full uniform from the movie “Semi-Pro,” where he portrayed main character, a fictional basketball player named Jackie Moon.

Thompson is a fan of the 2008 movie, dressing up as Jackie Moon before the Warriors’ Halloween game in 2019.

Ferrell chatted with Thompson and Curry during their warm-up, tossing up a few three-pointers, lay-ups and a banked half-court shot.

“I make those in my sleep,” Ferrell joked to the Associated Press.

Thompson could use the boost after an illness kept him out for two games, then going 9-for-30 in two losses against the Mavericks and Lakers.
