The LA Kings have made multiple roster moves, recalling Lias Andersson from his LTI Conditioning Loan with the Ontario Reign and activating him from Injured Reserve.

Brendan Lemieux has been placed on Injured Reserve retroactive to March 4.

Starting with the bad news, Lemeiux’s injury seems more serious than initially thought. Lemieux took an awkward hit near the LA Kings bench on Friday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets and left the ice.

There was speculation that this injury would be short-term, but it is now seemingly a more aggravated injury that could keep him out of the lineup for a substantial amount of time. Lemieux is having a breakout year, of sorts, anchoring the fourth line for the Kings. With eight goals and three assists, he is one goal and seven points away from tying career-bests in both departments.

The better news is the call-up of Lias Andersson from the Ontario Reign.

After being taken off injured reserve, Andersson was sent to Ontario for a conditioning stint. In his four-game conditioning stint, he has scored six goals, three of them coming on the power play.

The insertion of Andersson into the lineup will hopefully bring some presence to the third or fourth line as Andersson looks to build on this success and put together a strong back half of the season. He currently has one point in 13 games for the LA Kings this season.
