Indiana Jones 5: James Mangold Shares Interesting Update on Harrison Ford Sequel

It has been a long time since we got any updates on Indiana Jones 5 after it was confirmed that the sequel will once again be delayed to next year. Luckily, James Mangold has some news for fans. The director has just teased an update about the Harrison Ford movie!

Back in October, it was announced that Indiana Jones 5 will be pushed back to a 2023 release date. The news was disappointing for fans who were already expecting to get the first teaser for the sequel last year. So when exactly can we get our first glimpse at the film? James Mangold tweeted about the movie being almost done and assuring fans that an update is coming soon.

"Although I've been cutting while shooting, I officially start editing INDY today! To all those asking about trailers and teasers, still drops and first looks and other peeks or sneaks, this is the right place to look for info, but just a bit too soon. Be well and be patient!" Mangold wrote.

This is welcome news considering that Indiana Jones 5 has been in production for a really long time. It's great to know that the movie was finally wrapped production and is now being edited by Mangold. However, it also sounds like we will still need to wait for the first look at Harrison Ford's return as Indy. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Indiana Jones 5 will also star Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Toby Jones, and Antonio Banderas. For now, the film has not yet been given an official title but it is expected to be announced along with the first trailer. The sequel is currently scheduled for release on June 30, 2023.
