It was a busy week in recruiting for Syracuse football, so let’s jump right into the recruiting roundup.

Syracuse received its first commitment of the 2023 class on Sunday, as quarterback LaNorris Sellers pledged to the Orange. Sellers, rated 3 stars by 247 Sports, had previously been committed to Virginia, but decommitted following the departures of offensive coordinator Robert Anae and quarterbacks coach Jason Beck, who are now SU assistants. He also held offers from Virginia Tech and Washington State, among other schools.

2023 New Jersey wide receiver Josh Richards was on the Syracuse campus over the weekend for junior day, and the visit went very well, according to 247 Sports’ Stephen Bailey. The East Orange Campus prospect holds offers from Wake Forest, Maryland and Connecticut, among other schools, but after his visit to Central New York this weekend, he named Syracuse as his current leader.

Other prospects on campus for Syracuse’s junior day included Scranton (PA) Prep running back London Montgomery, Southern Columbia (PA) Area HS athlete Braeden Wisloski, Bradford (Fla.) High running back Manny Covey, Iona (NY) Prep linebacker Zyian Moultrie-Goddard, And Hun (NJ) School offensive lineman Logan Howland.

Staying on the offensive side of the ball in 2023, the Orange also offered in-state tight end David Clement when he took an unofficial visit to Syracuse last week. The Christian Brothers (NY) Academy prospect caught up with Sports Illustrated’s Mike McAllister after his Syracuse visit, and said he was “beyond grateful” for the offer. The Orange is his first Division I offer.

Syracuse extended an offer to Taft (CT) School offensive lineman Charlie Symonds. The 2023 tackle also holds offers from Boston College, Duke, Maryland and Michigan State, among others.

The Orange is also pursuing 2024 Catholic Memorial (WI) High’s Corey Smith. His offer list includes Iowa State, Nebraska and Purdue. Syracuse also offered his high school teammate, 2024 offensive lineman Donovan Harbour, joining Illinois, Purdue, Nebraska and Kansas.

2023 athlete Jeremiah Love is a three-star athlete, and holds offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Stanford and USC, among others schools. Syracuse offered the Christian Brothers (MO) College prospect last week.

Finally, 2023 defensive back Kylen Webb from Sumner (Fla.) High picked up an offer from Syracuse. His offer list includes Florida State, USF, Georgia Tech, Utah, Coastal Carolina, and Florida Atlantic.
