Neighbours star Takaya Honda recently shared a touching throwback picture on Instagram, showing his first time on Ramsay Street.
Posting the photo on Instagram, which features Honda and his friend Liv Zak standing on the set of the show, he wrote: "This was my first time ever on Ramsay St. back in 2016."
"It was such a strange feeling as it was a street I had seen so much of on television, but once I was there it was such a normal suburban street, because, well, it is."
"Which is probably what makes the show so relatable, these characters could be your Neighbours and your 'good friends'," he continued, tagging the show's Instagram account and adding the hashtag #celebratingNeighbours.
Honda has played the character David Tanaka in Neighbours for the last six years, previously appearing as Josh in A gURLs wURLd, Jase in The Code, and Klaus Thomson in The Family Law.
He has also hosted My Great Big Adventure and Play School prior to joining the long-running Australian soap.
Honda's character David is gay and is married to Aaron (Matt Wilson), and their marriage made history as Australia's first on-screen gay wedding.
Recent storylines see David confiding in his friend Dean Covey (Travis Cotton) over the recent troubles in his marriage, leading Aaron to believe Dean has feelings for David.

In next week's episodes, David will be in for a shock when Dean tries to kiss him, threatening the couple's tumultuous relationship.
Honda recently spoke to Digital Spy about the storyline, saying: "It's such a mix of emotions for David. He obviously feels guilty and sorrowful that Aaron was right all along about Dean wanting more.
"He also feels completely betrayed by Dean as well, because Dean had allowed David to feel like he was in a safe space to say whatever he wanted."
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
