Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Thank you, Tia and Anisah!

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Florida A&M seniors Tia Bradshaw and Anisah Douglas received their flowers (literally and figuratively) Saturday (March 5), as the lone seniors on the women's basketball team's 2022 roster. The two were celebrated in a pregame ceremony ahead of the regular-season finale, an 81-40 setback, versus Bethune-Cookman, and injuries, unfortunately, prevented Bradshaw from taking the floor.

Douglas finished with a team-high eight rebounds to go alongside three points.

Things started off a bit rocky for both teams, as each managed just one field goal through the midpoint of the first quarter. FAMU shook off its rust shortly thereafter to enter the second with an 18-10 edge, but the next 20 minutes overwhelmingly favored the Wildcats. They outscored the Rattlers, 50-15, between the second and third quarters and never looked back.

Anisja Harris guided the team in scoring for the fourth consecutive game on 12 points, while Malerie Brooks added nine and four rebounds.
FAMU concluded its 2022 season 3-25 overall, 4-14 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
