Update: Alabama forward Darius Miles leaves with injury vs. LSU basketball
Update: Darius Miles returned to the game with 10:12 left in the second half.
Alabama forward Darius Miles suffered a head injury in the second half against LSU on Saturday, March 5.
Miles was inadvertently kicked in the head after falling to the floor. LSU guard Brandon Murray is who made contact with Miles.
The game was stopped with 14:20 left in the second half when Miles was on the ground holding his head.
Miles immediately went to the Alabama locker room. He walked under his own power to the locker room.
With about 12 minutes left in the second half, CBS reported that Miles returned to the bench and is "probable" to return to the game. At about the same time, the Alabama radio broadcast said that Miles "should" return to the game.
Prior to the injury, Miles had five points, one rebound, one assist and one steal in 15 minutes prior to the injury.
Alabama, ranked No. 24 in the Ferris Mowers Men's Basketball Coaches Poll powered by USA Today Sports, entered the matchup 19-11 overall and 9-8 in the SEC. Most recently, Texas A&M defeated Alabama 87-71 on Wednesday.
LSU came into the game 20-10 overall and 8-9 in the SEC. On Wednesday, Arkansas beat LSU 77-76.
Entering Saturday, Alabama leads the all-time series 113-74 vs. LSU.
