Christopher Daniels is back.

The March 3 episode of AEW Dynamite was full of surprises, including the fact that Christopher Daniels had his first match in an AEW ring in ten months. Daniels has since commented on his return, thanking fans for still showing support for him after the time away from AEW TV.

“If you told me in May when I walked out the door that I wouldn’t wrestle here again for ten months, I wouldn’t have believed it,” Daniels wrote on Twitter. If you told me there’d be this much support for my return, I couldn’t have imagined it. Thank you all. I’M BACK.”

Daniels’ last appearance on AEW TV was a May 12, 2021 AEW World Tag Championship match loss to the Young Bucks, which came with the stipulation that Daniels and Frankie Kazarian would have to break up after the match. Since then, he’s competed in singles action for

Daniels recently spoke with Chris Van Vliet about his absence from AEW in February, explaining that there was no timetable for his return at that time, but hoped it changed soon.

“Yeah. Hopefully, that changes soon,” Christopher Daniels admitted. “But you know, the landscape of AEW is in constant flux, additions, subtractions. So I mean, it’s just a crowded field right now, and hopefully, I can make my way back there. But you know, there’s no real timetable as to when that might be. So I’m sort of at the mercy of circumstance.”
