Sporting KC Show Podcast sits down with Jacob Peterson and Kerry Zavagnin

Running throughout the season on Sports Radio 810 WHB, the Sporting Kansas City Show presented by Michelob Ultra is available on several podcast hubs such as Spotify and iTunes as well as SportingKC.com. With Nate Bukaty and Aly Trost hosting the weekly program, Sporting fans have a place to go to catch up on club storylines, guest interviews and more.

This week's edition of the Sporting KC Show aired on Sports Radio 810 WHB on Wednesday as hosts Nate Bukaty and Aly Trost were joined by special guests Jacob Peterson and Kerry Zavagnin during Media Day at Children's Mercy Park.

Peterson, a 12-year veteran of Major League Soccer who played five seasons in Kansas City from 2012-2016, has been a member of the club's local broadcast team since 2020 as an analyst and color commentator. The trio of Bukaty, Peterson and Trost will be on the call this Saturday as Sporting Kansas City hosts Houston in the club's highly anticipated home opener live on 38 The Spot.

Zavagnin, who has been part of every championship in club history as a player or a coach, played nine seasons with the Wizards from 2000-2008 before becoming an assistant coach in 2009 and now embarks on his 14th season as part of the technical staff in 2022. Zavagnin has been at the forefront of the recently announced partnership with TRACAB to integrate the company's cutting-edge technology tools into Sporting Kansas City broadcasts.

Sporting Kansas City will welcome Houston Dynamo FC, led by head coach Paulo Nagamura and assistant coach Jimmy Nielsen, to Children's Mercy Park at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday. Tickets are available online at SeatGeek.com and all fans in attendance will receive a Sporting KC rally towel courtesy of match sponsor Central Bank of the Midwest.

The Western Conference match-up will be locally televised on 38 The Spot with coverage from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. CT on Saturday in addition to a national television audience on Univision and TUDN, as well as a live stream on Twitter. Radio coverage will be available on ESPN 94.5 FM and La Grande 1340 AM.
