Shanna Moakler has reunited with her estranged daughter Alabama Barker following Moakler’s public split from on-again, off-again boyfriend Matthew Rondeau.
A makeup-free Moakler shared a selfie with her 16-year-old daughter on her Instagram Story Tuesday, and while the former pageant queen appeared content in the photo, she followed up with another Story in which she wrote, “Sweet dreams world. My heart is heavy.”
Moakler’s emotional post comes after she was reportedly issued a protective order against Rondeau after he was arrested for felony domestic violence.
Last month, Rondeau, 29, went on an expletive and slur-filled rant on her Instagram account in which he accused the former “Celebrity Big Brother” star, 46, of cheating on her.
“Just texted my mom! I’m not sure what happened on her live,” Alabama wrote on her Instagram after the social media incident. “I’m in contact with her and she’s okay.”
She then added of Rondeau, “That man needs serious help.”
While the ordeal with Rondeau — who said he would “never lay a hand on another Woman” and that he was being made out to be a “villain” — was certainly traumatic, it appears the silver lining is that Moakler has fully reconciled with Alabama amid their lengthy estrangement.
Both Alabama and her older brother Landon accused accusing Moakler of being an absentee parent while the model has defended herself on social media, calling their accusations “absolutely rediculous [sic].”
“My mom has never completely been in my life. Can you guys stop painting her out to be an amazing mom?” Alabama posted on Instagram. “Did your moms ask to see you on Mother’s Day [because] mine didn’t? I’m done keeping it a secret, reality shows.”
Alabama’s Instagram post came after her 17-year-old brother Landon said on TikTok that Moakler “isn’t in [their] lives like” their dad, Travis Barker.
While Alabama obviously has made strides with Moakler, it’s unclear where Landon’s relationship stands with his mom.
