Hilary Farr and David Visentin, of HGTV’s Love It or List It, have undeniable on-screen chemistry, in that their friendship (and friendly banter) has drawn in and maintained viewers for over a decade. In fact, it’s because of their long-running relationship that Hilary and David are pretty much the king and queen of TV reality. Of course, with this in mind, it might shock you to find out that the longtime co-hosts aren’t romantically linked.

Are Hilary and David from Love It or List It married to each other?

For years, viewers have wondered if America’s favorite real estate icons are more than just co-hosts. But the answer is nope.

Hilary was married to TV producer Gordon Farr from 1982 to 2008. Together they have one son. And David has been married to his wife Krista Visentin since 2006, and they share one son.

Nevertheless, Hilary and David remind many viewers of an old married couple — the chemistry’s there; the camaraderie — but so is the bickering (for competition’s sake, of course). And, like an old married couple, they like to joke about how they met — which, by the way, didn’t occur until auditioning for Love It or List It.

"They called up and said, 'You're brilliant. We want you. We think you're going to make Hilary look good,'" David jokingly told POPSUGAR about the process.

But it’s not just in the way that they recall their past that makes them seem so relatable and loving, though. It’s how they approach the present and future, too. For example, Hilary and David eat the same breakfast each and every morning — an unlikely occurrence among friends, but normal for the co-hosts.

“We start our mornings the exact same way," David told POPSUGAR. "It's quite sweet," Hilary added. Their meal of choice? What they call “The Morning Smoothie,” which blends kale, cilantro, lemon juice, banana, almond butter, cacao, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, and black pepper — and in David’s case, the occasional avocado.

Suffice it to say, David and Hilary have a special bond that makes Love It or List It even more entertaining to watch. And we'll be the first to admit that we're fans of the on- and off-screen chemistry between the two — platonic as it may be.
