CSI/McCown and Tottenville were ousted from the PSAL A division playoffs following first-round losses in Brooklyn on Tuesday.

The No. 48-seeded Dragons received 23 points from senior guard Joe Abraham, but dropped a 60-47 decision to host Bedford Academy.

The No. 47-seeded Pirates, meanwhile, got off a last-second three-point attempt for the win, but wound up losing, 52-50, to host Banneker.

CSIM finished the season with an 11-15 record while Tottenville ended the campaign 12-13.

The Dragons, who also received offensive contributions from John O’Connor (10 points) and Yusef Othman (eight points), fell behind early and never recovered against the Panthers.

Senior Dilan Bryan scored a team-high 22 for Bedford, which will host a second-round game against Midwood on Friday (5 p.m.). Sophomore Joshua Naklen and Ian Belfon added 17 and 13 points, respectively, for the Panthers.

Bryan’s 10 first-quarter points helped the Brooklyn school jump to a 25-16 lead at intermission.

The Dragons, who received 16 second-half points from Abraham, cut the Panthers lead to four with 2:00 left in the third period, but the host team staged a quarter-ending 7-0 burst to make it 39-28 entering the fourth.

Although CSIM cut the lead to six on two different occasions in the fourth, Bedford always had a response.

“Every time we cut into their lead, they’d respond with a big bucket,’' said CSIM coach Danny Lee. “We started fouling midway through the fourth the extend the game, but they wound up making 14 free throws in the fourth.’'

Abraham went to the free-throw line 12 times, connecting on eight of them.

Banneker 52, Tottenville 50

The Pirates owned leads at halftime and after three quarters and, despite receiving a team-high 17 points from Michael Clifford, they fell short on their quest to advance to the second round.

Nicholas Lam and Nicholas Navetta added 14 and nine points, respectively, for Tottenville.

Sophomore Jamier Nowell finished with a game-high 20 markers for the No. 18 Warriors, who will now visit No. 15 Fort Hamilton in a second-round contest on Friday (5 p.m.). Senior Asani Delpeche added 15 for the winners.

“We had every chance to win this game, but give credit to Banneker, they hit some shots down the stretch,’' said Tottenville coach Kevin Alesi. “Finding consistency has been a problem for us all season, but we played our best game of the season today.’'

Thanks in part to Lam and Navetta, who combined for 12 fourth-quarter markers, the Pirates owned a four-point lead with 1:30 on the clock.

But Nowell hit a three and was fouled on the play and after hitting the freebie, the game was tied. Delpeche then made a steal and layup to give the hosts a two-point lead, but Lam cut the lead to a point by converting 1 of 2 free throws.

Nowell also connected on 1 of 2 to give the Warriors a 52-50 advantage with just 12 ticks on the clock. The Pirates, in fact, rebounded a miss on the second free throw and Lam drove the lane before kicking a pass to Michael Didio in the left corner.

Didio’s wide-open shot went in and out as time expired.
