Authorities seeking man from Rolette County

He was last seen shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday in Belcourt, N.D., and possibly headed to Grand Forks, authorities say.

GRAND FORKS — State corrections authorities and the Rolette County Sheriff's Office are searching for a high-risk sex offender who they say removed a monitoring device Tuesday.

According to a release sent Tuesday evening from the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Leslie Allery, 43, was last seen wearing dark pants (possibly sweatpants), a black jacket, gray T-shirt and gray tennis shoes. He was last seen shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday in Belcourt, N.D., and possibly headed to Grand Forks, according to the release.

Allery is American Indian, 6-foot-1 and 258 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, currently cropped close. According to the Department of Corrections, Allery’s offenses include promoting obscenity to minors, solicitation of a minor – victim 15 or older, and dispensing alcohol to a minor.
