Mescalero students win drone tournament championship

Four students from the Mescalero Apache School drone program competed in the Harmony Public Schools Second Drone competition in Houston, Texas in February.

From Feb. 17-19 the Mescalero Chiefs were represented by team members Angel Enjady, Caydence Palmer, Jacoby Ortega and Elijah Lester.

Enjady and Palmer were named Tournament Champs and received the High Flyer Award. Enjady and Palmer qualified for the RADC World Competition in Dallas, Texas which is scheduled for May 9-10, 2022.

Ortega and Lester placed third in the competition.

The team is coached by Nate Raynor.
