Brian Jones, 53, of West Branch

Brian Thomas Jones, age 53, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, February 24, 2022 in Warsaw, Indiana. He lived in West Branch, MI his entire life.

Brian was born on April 12, 1968 in West Branch to Gary and Arlene (Sheldon) Jones. He married Dawn Gutierrez in Newberry, MI on July 22, 2013.

He graduated from Ogemaw Heights High School in 1986. Brian drove truck for Griffin Beverage and Lapari Foods for a few years and worked for Sandvik/Hyperion for 8 years. He was currently employed with Elk Rapids Engineering/Star Cutter Company as a Field Service Technician.

Brian enjoyed working in the machine shop, trail riding, motorcycles and working on his Chevy square body and his Jeep Willy’s. His grandchildren were his world and he loved every moment with his family.

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Dawn Gutierrez-Jones; children, Zachary (Kaylee Karbginsky) Jones, Cady Jones-Cummings, Zachary (Courtney) Oakes, and Logan (Lexi Sollin) Weber; grandchildren, Kennedy Jones, Autumn Cummings, and Ryan Oakes; parents, Gary and Arlene Jones; sister, Teresa (Greg) Rose; nephew, Gregory Rose; and scores of friends whom he considered his family.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Christine Elizabeth Cromwell, and grandparents, Harold & Bernadine (Walters) Jones and Warren & Ruth (Drake) Sheldon.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.
