Loudonville's Corri Vermilya, Tyler Bates earn top MBC basketball honors

The Mid-Buckeye Conference released its all-conference boys and girls basketball teams, and Loudonville had several players named to the teams.

GIRLS

Loudonville swept the league's top honors as Corri Vermilya was selected Player of the Year and Tyler Bates was named co-Coach of the Year. 

Vermilya averaged an area-high 27.5 points, 12.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 5.5 steals and 1.3 blocks in 22 regular-season games. 

Bates guided the Redbirds to their sixth consecutive MBC title. 

Shalen Guilliams and Maddie Kline joined Vermilya on the first team. Jalyn Johnson was a second-team pick, while Kenzie Cutlip earned honorable mention accolades.

BOYS

Loudonville's Zach Frankford was selected to the first team. Isaac Gessner was a second-team choice, and Ben Sanchez was an honorable mention selection.
