Former Girls’ Generation star Taeyeon is no stranger to succeeding on the South Korean charts on her own, and she’s back in charge of one of the most important lists yet again with her latest release. The solo female powerhouse’s single “INVU,” which powers her just-dropped album of the same name, opens at No. 1 on the latest edition of the Gaon Download chart, which ranks the bestselling individual songs in South Korea every week.

Amazingly, Taeyeon claims three spaces inside just the top 10 on the Gaon Download chart, with fellow INVU album tracks “Some Nights” and “Toddler” starting off at Nos. 5 and 9, respectively. The full-length itself misses out on becoming another leader on the Gaon Albums chart by a single space, as it debuts at No. 2 behind only Treasure’s The Second Step: Chapter One.

Speaking of Treasure, the lead single from their new No. 1 album, the catchy “Jikjin,” enters the Gaon Download chart at No. 2. It is performing extremely well on streaming sites and YouTube all around the world, so it could rise to the top spot sometime soon.

South Korean hip-hop outfit Epik High is back inside the top 10 on the Gaon Download chart with their new single, and they’re not alone. The band reached out to singer-songwriter Younha for the collaborative “So Yes,” which has turned out to be a real hit, at least when it comes to sales. The joint tune opens as the third-bestselling smash in the nation this time around.

Closing out the upper half of the top 10 on this week’s Gaon Download chart is Apink’s “Dilemma,” the lead single from the girl group’s new album Horn. Coincidentally, that title launches in the same position on the Gaon Albums ranking. “Dilemma” appears just ahead of Taeyeon’s aforementioned “Some Nights.”

The lower half of the most competitive space on the sales ranking includes just one debut, by Taeyeon (“Toddler” No. 9), while popular cuts from artists like Lim Young-woong ("Love Always Runs Away," No. 6), Kassy ("Always Love You,” No. 7), Young Tak ("Wanna Go Get Some Abalone," No. 8) and BTS’s Jung Kook (“Stay Alive,” No. 10) all find space in the area as well.
