M&M Performing Arts Company will present Arthur Miller’s classic drama The Price in the Grand Picture Gallery at Lyndhurst Mansion for three consecutive weekends in March. Called by The New York Times “one of the most engrossing and entertaining plays” that Miller wrote, it examines with compassion and humor the relationship of two estranged brothers who meet after many years to dispose of their family’s belongings.

Performances will take place in the Grand Picture Gallery of Lyndhurst Mansion on Friday through Sundays from March 4-20, 2022. Tickets are $45 for all seats. All tickets must be purchased in advance, either at Lyndhurst.org or at 1-888-718-4253 opt. 1 (additional fees apply on phone orders). Parking is free. The subject matter is appropriate for ages 12 and up.

When the Great Depression cost his family their fortune, Victor Franz (Michael Muldoon, Yorktown Heights) gave up his dream of higher education to support his father. Three decades later, Victor has returned to his childhood home to sell the remainder of his parents’ estate.

Victor’s wife Esther (Melinda O’Brien, Yorktown Heights, who also directed the play), his estranged brother Walter (Richard Troiano, Monroe), and second-hand furniture appraiser Gregory Solomon (Bruce Apar, Yorktown Heights) all arrive with their own agendas, forcing Victor to question the true value of his sacrifice. Stage managers are Emmy Schwartz and Nan Weiss (both Briarcliff).

Covid-19 Requirements: All ticket holders must show proof of vaccination and booster, if eligible, and must wear a mask. No one under 12 will be admitted. These requirements may be amended per CDC, N.Y. State, and Broadway Covid-19 guidelines.
