Rose Marie (Tellier) McCrea

Rose was welcomed into the world December 23, 1971 she went home to be with her daughter Jade, her adopted mother and father Sophie and Leo Tellier, on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

She was a loving mother of three, later welcoming her baby boy Michael “Mikey” into her heart and home. Before her eldest was born her motherly role was shared with her “first born” as she called him, Arlen.

She left a mark on this world taking in and taking care of many she crossed paths with and was influenced by the elders before her to be a loving, caring and nurturing woman. She was always giving her time to others, giving advice when needed, always eager to lend a helping hand.

As a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, Rose came from a long line of strong indigenous women before her, and overcame a lot of trial and errors throughout her life.

She was employed with the Tribes from a young age, ever invested with her current job as a probate specialist.

Rose, or Rosie as many called her, spent the last year celebrating her life, surrounded in love and laughter with friends and family.

Rose went peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

She’s preceded in death by her adopted parents Sophie and Leo Tellier, her daughter Jade Lenae McCrea, her godparents Darlene and Basil Matt, Darcy Malatare, and Lynette Moran.

She’s survived by her daughters Bryar and Emily McCrea and son Michael “Mikey” McCrea, her “Yaya” Lenny; the love of her life Michael McCrea, Mom and step-father Kenny and Linda Ebner, sister Morey Tellier, sister cousins Monique and Cec, nephew Arlen and countless nieces and nephews, friends and family members as well as her best friends Jennifer Trahan, Nickie Trahan, and Wanda Fisher and Kelly O’Bennick.
