Svechnikov scored a goal on three shots in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Avalanche.

Svechnikov entered Friday on a 12-game goal drought, during which he had just one assist. The 25-year-old changed that in the first period, capitalizing on an assist from Josh Morrissey. Were it not for injuries to Andrew Copp (upper body), Cole Perfetti (upper body) and Kristian Reichel (lower body), Svechnikov probably would be fighting for a place in the lineup now. He's posted 11 points, 48 shots on net, 49 hits, 22 PIM and a plus-2 rating in 42 contests, filling a variety of roles as needed throughout the season.
