Legans talked about the growth he’s seen in his team this season, the strength of the WCC and his vision for the program. UP is 17-12 this season, matching the best season since Eric Reveno won 17 games in the 2014-15 season.

UP plays at Santa Clara (19-10) in the regular-season finale on Saturday.

“We’re a confident bunch,” Legans said. “We’re tough. We won’t back down.”

The podcast of our interview is worth your time. Legans spoke about his mentor, the grit of his team, and his approach to the conference tournament.
