Sobriety Talk With Middle and High School Students and Chris Herren

Tobacco-Free Amarillo is hosting a free event in the civic center with former Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics player Chris Herren.

Chris is a former professional basketball player and a voice for substance use prevention. 

He will talk about highlights in his career, his journey to sobriety, and touch on topics like drinking, smoking vaping, and peer pressure.

This event is free, and middle and high school students along with their parents are invited.

Tobacco-Free Amarillo is a program aimed at preventing youth from using tobacco and encouraging adults to quit.
