Peacemaker Star Jokes About How Co-Star Danielle Brooks' Adebayo Made Her Job Hard

Peacemaker star Jennifer Holland jokingly reveals how her co-star Danielle Brooks made her job hard.

Jennifer Holland plays Emilia Harcourt, a bad-ass agent for A.R.G.U.S in the HBO Max series Peacemaker. Created by now his fiance, James Gunn, the series follows Christopher Smith after the events of The Suicide Squad. The plot follows Christopher Smith being recruited for A.R.G.U.S black ops team 'Project Butterfly' in a mission to discover and destroy the alien life form that takes over human bodies. The TV show was a success in the streaming service and arise as the most-watched TV show for the month of February. Peacemaker also broke the record for the highest number of streaming in a day for HBO Max.

Alongside Cena, he was joined by Steve Agee as Economos, Jennifer Holland as Harcourt, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Chukwudi Iwuji as Clemson Murn, and Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo. While Harcourt portrays a bad-ass agent in the show, Holland reveals that this was not an easy task, especially with her co-star Brooks. When asked by Comicbook.com, Holland reveals how developing a relationship with her co-star Brooks made her job so hard. Holland explained:

"Oh, man. I've said this before, but I did all of this work on my own on the character, and how she felt about Adebayo, and what that dynamic was like for her. You can't prepare for what the other actor is going to give you. So when I first meet Danielle, I'm like, "Oh, sh-t. She's like the sweetest, most charming, lovely human being. You couldn't be mean to her if you tried, in real life." She made my job so hard, because she's just so lovable and charming. That was an unexpected dynamic. I was going to have to really try to not like her at the beginning of the series.

Every character in the Peacemaker series was surely likable but Harcourt stands out. After the death of Murn, she was easily picked by her team to be their new leader. We also saw Harcourt's character development from being a cold and distant bad-ass to someone who genuinely cares about her whole team.

Given that season 2 of Peacemaker is already announced, we will surely see Harcourt and the rest of the cast performing their perfectly executed hilarious dynamic.

Peacemaker is still streaming in HBO Max.
