Shanna Moakler’s daughter Alabama Barker provided a reassuring update after the former Miss USA’s boyfriend, Matthew Rondeau, was reportedly arrested for domestic violence.
“Just texted my mom! I’m not sure what happened on her live,” Barker, 16, wrote on her Instagram Story Thursday. “I’m in contact with her and she’s okay.”
The teen added of Rondeau, “That man needs serious help.”
Earlier in the day, Moakler’s on-again, off-again boyfriend blasted her in a rage-filled rant on Instagram Live, claiming she had cheated on him the “entire time” they were dating.
In the video, Rondeau, 29, angrily paced up and down the street where Moakler, 46, lives and said the “Celebrity Big Brother” contestant had spent the night at a neighbor’s house.
The LAPD confirmed to Page Six Thursday that a dispute call had been placed to officers at 8:17 a.m. local time from Moakler’s home, and a person was taken into custody.
TMZ reported that Moakler and Rondeau had been fighting since Wednesday night, and when the former Playboy model returned in the morning after going to her neighbor’s place, the fighting continued and allegedly turned physical.
Rondeau said on Instagram that their relationship was “over.”
A rep for Moakler did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment on Rondeau’s arrest.
Alabama is Moakler’s daughter with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. The former spouses also share 18-year-old son Landon Barker, and Moakler is mom to 22-year-old daughter Atiana De La Hoya with ex Oscar De La Hoya as well.
Alabama and Landon have had a rocky relationship of their own with their mom.
In May 2021, Alabama shared on Instagram, “My mom has never completely been in my life. Can you guys stop painting her out to be an amazing mom?”
She added, “Did your moms ask to see you on Mother’s Day [because] mine didn’t? I’m done keeping it a secret, reality shows.”
Alabama’s Instagram post came after Landon said on TikTok that Moakler “isn’t in [their] lives like” their dad, who is now engaged to Kourtney Kardashian.
