Somehow, here we are, already in the very last week of February! WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Dennis plays Laura in the upcoming Netflix Original title Tyler Perry’s A Madea Homecoming, which premieres on the platform this Friday, February 25th. In this brand new comedy film, classic and beloved Tyler Perry character Mabel “Madea” Simmons is back, and she’s getting ready to welcome her relatives who are all in town for her great-grandson’s college graduation. Everything comes to a head, however, when family drama erupts amongst the celebration, exposing secrets that threaten to ruin the joyous familial gathering. Starring Perry, Dennis, Cassi Davis-Patton, Tamela J. Mann, David Mann, Brandon Black, Isha Blakker, and Brendan O’Carroll, A Madea Homecoming is a must-watch for anyone looking for big laughs and a ton of fun in their streaming shenanigans this week. WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Dennis’s professional onscreen career began in 1990 when she was only 12 years-old, with a role in fantasy family-comedy TV movie A Mom for Christmas, and then jump-started again in the late ’90s, when she hosted the BET youth talk show, Teen Summit, from 1998 to 2000. It was just a few years later in 2004, however, that Dennis fully burst onto the scene as a full-fledged actress, with roles in titles like feature-length comedy He Can Get It and Discovery Channel series The New Detectives: Case Studies in Forensic Science.
