On January 8, 2011, Charles Pierre-Gilles ran into some bad luck and called on his friend, Christina Voltaire, for help. The friends lived in the same Berkshire Apartments complex in Winter Haven, Florida, but Charles's car broke down while out. He had to walk home but stopped by Christina's apartment to ask if he could borrow her vehicle. This was the last time anyone saw Christina Voltaire since that day.
