Today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 comes from an artist who absolutely owned the back half of the 70’s, Donna Summer with “Bad Girls”. It was on this date in 1980 that her Greatest Hits Vol I and II album was certified platinum, a double album filled with several monster hits by Donna including Hot Stuff, On the Radio, Last Dance, and Dim All the Lights.
“Bad Girls” spent 5 weeks at #1 making it Donna’s biggest hit of her career which included 3 other number one songs and 20 Top 40 hits.
Sadly, Donna passed away ten years ago in May of 2012 from cancer at the age of 63. Today we remember one of iconic artists of the time, Donna Summer.
