Soul food from Baldwin’s Smokehouse, Tia’s on menu for Buena Vista Black History Month event

BUENA VISTA TWP., MI — Residents here can purchase $12 tickets for Buena Vista Township’s Black History Month-themed “Food For The Soul” event later this month.

The luncheon is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, at the Buena Vista Community Center, 1940 S. Outer.

Baldwin’s Smokehouse BBQ and Tia’s Soul — both are Buena Vista-based businesses — will cater the event.

Organizers recommend interested diners purchase tickets in advance to avoid long lines.

Tickets are available at the community center as well as the township offices at 1160 S. Outer.
