Barbara Lynn Stump

JACKSON — Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara Lynn Stump, 66, of rural Jackson, Minn., will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn, with Father Jonathon Fasnacht as Celebrant. Burial will be in Lake Fremont Cemetery, rural Dunnell, Minn.

Barbara’s earthly journey ended Friday morning, Feb. 11, 2022, at her home in rural Jackson, surrounded by family. Visitation will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, at St. Lukes Catholic Church in Sherburn, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. For the safety of all, facial coverings are preferred by the family. Barbara Lynn Seifert was born Jan. 14, 1956, to Benjamin and Anacleta (Yurcek) Seifert in Triumph, Minn. She attended school in Sherburn and graduated with the class of 1974. Barb attended Mankato State College for one year and continued her education at Pipestone Community College. Graduating with a degree in fashion merchandising. On Aug. 6, 1977, she was united in marriage to Randy Stump at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn, Minn. After their marriage they lived in rural Jackson and raised their family. Barb was a devoted wife, mother, farming partner, family member, and friend. She was employed by Jackson Livewire, Dueber’s Department Store, and managed the Clothes Tree, all in Jackson. For 25 years she was a paraprofessional at Riverside Elementary in Jackson. In 2011, they moved to Alpine, Wyoming and made their home. She is survived by her husband, Randy Stump of Alpine, Wyo.; two children, Dustin (Frances) Stump of Alpine, Wyo., and Danielle (Timothy) Stelling of Wandin, North Victoria, Australia; three grandchildren, Blaire and Bodhi Stelling and Evan Stump; Barb’s siblings, Ann Marie Seifert of St. Paul, Minn., Michael (Pat) Seifert of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Rosemary Seifert of Minneapolis, Minn., Patricia (Marvin) Jesnoski of Henderson, Nev., Theresa (Patrick) Walter of Urbandale, Iowa, Lisa (Wayne) Weigelt of Brandon, S.D., Steven Seifert of Monument, Colo.; Randy’s family, James Spear of rural St. James, Minn., Linda (John) Tirevold of Sherburn, Minn., Nola “Buck” (Vic) Jagodzinske of rural St. James, Minn.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Anacleta Seifert; father and mother-in-law, Ray and Fern Stump; and other relatives.
