This is a pretty sensational, click-baitey headline for what is actually said here.

He was overall very complimentary of our team and program. This makes it sound like he was taking a dig at us.

National championship!? Lol!!! Baylor isnt even the 2nd best team in the b12.

Great group. Young and their weakness shows against hungry teams.

I'm not a Doug Gottlieb fan, but he didn't say anything objectionable in this interview. This headline really paints a poor picture of the tone and content of the interview.

It sure does. He was very complimentary but realistic about the current issues on the team. He surely didn't say what the headline suggests.

We've had some key injuries and are the biggest bullseye in everyone's schedule so we get everyone's best shot every game and just happen to play in a league where everyone has the talent to beat everyone else.

Doesn't change my opinion of Gotleib at all. That dude is garbage.

Plenty of national champions didn't win their conference.

Not sure yet. It's five weeks until the Final Four.

I think tonight's win showed we're still capable of winning at that level. I still wouldn't say it's particularly likely.

But the stronger we finish, the better our chances of getting a No. 1 seed. And with favorable matchups, we can absolutely make a run.

Does Gottlieb realize this?

Baylor has the most Quadrant 1 wins in the country, with 11.

This is the most wide open the path to the Natty has been in several years. Media keeps saying 8-10 teams but I truly think there are legit 12-15 teams that could get hot and win it all with the right matchups along the way. There simply isn't a team without a weakness or two.

Agreed. I've been saying all year there are no elite teams this year. There are a lot of really good ones, but none that stand above the rest like there were last year with Baylor and Gonzaga.

I think this year's tournament could be one of the crazier ones in recent memory. It should be a ton of fun.

Before last night, I was beginning to doubt we could make the Final Four, due to all the injuries. Losing Everyday Jon was a real blow. After last night, the sky is the limit for this team.

Does Baylor have a 6 man rotation now due to injuries, or a 7 man rotation. Thank you. I'll hang up and listen.

7 right now.

Turner didn't play last night, but he came in for two minutes the two games before. If you count his sliver of minutes it's 8.

Seems like you're asking is Bonner part of the rotation. If that's the question, then I'd say Yes. I doubt that the coaches plan to play him anywhere near the minutes Sochan, the 6th man, gets because Sochan is basically covering for his normal minutes along with a good portion of JTT's former minutes. I think Bonner's role is to come in for Akinjo or Flag need a short break, to avoid foul trouble for either, or sometimes when Akinjo goes a little askew from what the coaching staff asked him to do. But even if Cryer comes back (which I still don't think we'll see him for any meaningful length of time, even if he does), I still think you'll see Bonner get some minutes.

So, we have a 7 man rotation counting Bonner and Sochan, and then 8 if Cryer is ever able to play again. As VB said, I think we could see either Turner or Loveday for a couple of minutes in a game where we get into foul trouble. But I don't see them being part of an actual rotation, like Drew has typically done in the 5-7 minute windows the past few years.

Bonner's development has been a godsend. Without his ability to provide some competent minutes at the two guard spots, we'd really be up a creek with all the injuries we've had.

Only one team will be National Champions. They'll be 68 teams with a chance. I can say that about over 300 teams and be right.

Parity

I count about 10-15 teams that realistically can win
