"Oh man, there's nothing I can say for my young African boy," Mutombo said of Embiid on Thursday's 94WIP Morning Show. "He's amazing. He's making all of us so proud. He's the league MVP. He's now one of the most dominant centers we have seen in a long time. He can do everything. I don't think there's anything that Joel cannot do and that is including giving back. I am so proud of him, very proud of him."

Former Sixers GM Billy King—who is now a 94WIP Morning Show co-host and joined Angelo Cataldi in interviewing Mutombo—was acquired by King during the 2001 February NBA Trade Deadline.

The Sixers went on to reach the NBA Finals behind Allen Iverson and Mutombo, as the eight-time All-Star and four-time defensive player of the year averaged 13.9 point, 13.7 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks in a ridiculous 42.7 minutes over 23 playoff games that postseason with Philadelphia.
