Washington Capitals head coach Peter Laviolette spent six years with the Nashville Predators, guiding them to a Clarence S. Campbell Trophy as winners of the Western Conference in 2017 and the franchise's first Stanley Cup Final appearance.

Laviolette was relieved of his duties in January 2020, and since being appointed as the Capitals coach, the 57-year-old has yet to return to Nashville until Tuesday night.

The Predators paid tribute to their former head coach alongside Kevin McCarthy and Matt Irwin for their time in Nashville.

In his six years behind the bench in Nashville, Laviolette coached 512 games, including playoffs, for the Predators, compiling a record of 280-172-60.
