James Richard (Rick) Todd passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at Ray County Memorial Hospital.

Rick was born May 2, 1953, in Excelsior Springs to Betty (Dillen) and Roger Todd. He had one sister, Cynthia Todd.  Rick was a proud father to his daughter, Erica Todd and a proud grandfather to his grandson, Abram Carr.  Rick was very well known around Excelsior Springs as he was born and raised there his entire life. He was an avid dirt bike rider, dune buggy rider, Race fan, and had an extreme love for music and cars and anything that went fast. He was also a big dog lover as he rescued many in his lifetime. If you didn’t know Rick from his love of cars, his sweet decked out yellow van or his love of music, then you most likely knew him as the trusted man behind the counter at Kramer Hardware for so many years.

Rick was preceded in his death by his parents and sister, Cynthia Todd.

He is survived by his daughter, Erica Todd; grandson, Abram Carr; son-in-law, Ricky Burton; and daughters, Ricky Mariah Boley and Olivia Burton.

Visitation will be held at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo. on Friday, Feb. 18, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
