We have ourselves a breakout alert!

Matt Boldy with a hat trick against Detroit last night seals the deal and gives him the green light for a must add in keeper formats as well as a seat at the big table in your every day hockey fantasy.

Just a few games ago the Minnesota Wild upper management and coaching staff decided that it would be best to keep Matt Boldy up for the rest of the season. Boldy has been getting better and looks more comfortable every game he’s played. Before being called up to the Minnesota Wild he was playing with Iowa Wild in his second season AHL season. Matthew was an impact player, producing at a point per game or better and being a threat on the ice every game. It’s been no different in the big show at the NHL level as Boldy now has fourteen points in thirteen games; having a four point night doesn’t hurt!

The Minnesota Wild have quietly got themselves into a much more dangerous offensive position than they have been, in ages.

Second Line: Kevin Fiala-Frederick Gaudreau-Matthew Boldy

First Power Play Unit: Mats Zuccarello-Joel Eriksson Ek-Matthew Boldy-Jared Spurgeon-Kirill Kaprizov

The left winger has an impressive +10 rating after thirteen games and has proven he can play at both ends of the rink. Being a responsible player at such a young age is exactly why Minnesota thought it was best to continue his development at the NHL level. The Massachusetts youngster comes in at 200 pounds 6’2” and will eventually use his body more as he gets settled in the NHL.

If you need some firepower for the rest of the season, take a look and see what you think of the first round pick from 2019 (12th overall).
