The New England Revolution acquired free agent forward Jozy Altidore and extended his existing contract through the 2024 season.

The two-time U.S. Soccer Player of the Year hit the market when Toronto FC exercised the club’s option off season buyout. Toronto will pay a portion of Altidore’s salary through the 2023 season.

Altidore, 32, has played 11 MLS seasons and his resume includes two FIFA World Cups, MLS Cup MVP honors, a Dutch Cup title and more than 200 appearances in European club competition. Altidore has accumulated 115 international senior caps and has scored 18 goals in 41 World Cup qualifying games.
