Twenty Five Twenty One is a new Kdrama that stars Kim Tae Ri, Nam Joo Hyuk, WJSN Bona, Choi Hyun Wook, and Lee Joo Myung. The tvN series is a refreshing romance about two people who first met when they were 22 and 18. Their love story continues four years later when they are 25 and 21.
As soon as it premiered on February 12, Twenty Five Twenty One Episode 1 already received an impressive nationwide viewership rating of 6.370%.

Twenty Five Twenty One Episode 1 sees a young high school dreamer named Na Hee Do, who is doing her best as part of the fencing club. Even though the IMF financial crisis affects many people in South Korea, she is confident that she won’t be affected by it as she is too young to lose anything.
Her confidence that she would be able to keep her dream was shattered the next morning when the fencing club’s coach announced that they would be letting go of the team. Hee Do wanted to continue with her dream as a fencer, so she thought of several ways to be transferred to Taeyang High School, wherein the famous fencing athlete named Go Yu Rim.
However, the odds were not in her favor when she tried to talk to her mother. Seeing no progress from her even though she was once called a prodigy, Hee Do’s mother continued to belittle her and compare her to other athletes her age.
Hee Do intentionally let herself be expelled from her school so she could be transferred to another. She tried to be involved in a gang fight and even entered a nightclub knowing that minors are not allowed there.
Her plans did not work, and thankfully, Baek Yi Jin knocked the sense out of her. The next day, Hee Do mustered up her courage to try to talk to her mother again. But it only ended with them hurting each other’s feelings and even ruining the volume 11 manga of Full House.
On the other hand, a glimpse of Yi Jin’s past was unveiled in episode 1. It turns out that he was once living with his conglomerate family but unfortunately was one of the families who went bankrupt due to the financial crisis.
Twenty Five Twenty One Episode 1 highlights Hee Do still continuing to work hard for her dreams as she frequents Taeyang High School to convince the coach. Finally, the coach accepted her and let her transfer to the school.
Meanwhile, episode 1 also shows that Hee Do’s mother and the fencing coach were acquaintances, and the former had asked for a favor.
