Judith Lorraine (Guerriero) Mellott

Judith Lorraine (Guerriero) Mellott, 75, of Howard, passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022 at Promedica Skilled Nursing, Jersey Shore.

Born in Lock Haven May 2, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William John and Betty Grace Smith Guerriero.

Judy attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School before attending Lock Haven High School until her graduation in 1964.

On Oct. 10, 1964 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Judy married Benjamin W. Mellott, who preceded her in death Feb. 17, 2015.

She was employed as a medical receptionist for several providers with her longest tenure being at Lock Haven Hospital.

Judy enjoyed her monthly dinners with her classmates, her family’s annual stay in their tent at the Grange Fair and traveling with her friends.

She is survived by her son, Scot D. Mellott of Howard; a brother, William R. (Bobbie Jean) Guerriero of Mechanicsburg; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Anne Karichner of Marysville and Judy Mellott of Flemington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Todd “Doob” Mellott who passed away Nov. 10, 2015; and her infant sister, Virginia Rose Guerriero.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
